Romantic Expressions for the Blind

Romantic Expressions for the Blind

Question

As a blind person, I find it very difficult to express myself on romantic holidays, such as Valentine's Day or our anniversary -- I don't know what cards to select! Can you give me any advice?

Answer

Many HallmarkTM stores actually carry Braille cards -- I have seen the cards in many stores across the country, but I don't know if they all carry them. Visit your local store and ask for assistance from one of the employees, or try calling ahead to see if they can help you. You should be able to find cards for a wide variety of holidays, including romantic ones.

What about sending fortune cookies with romantic or erotic messages? Try a Braille fortune cookies -- plain or chocolate-dipped. You can even customize sayings. Giant fortune cookies that have messages in large print or Braille are also available -- giant cookies are about 4" x 5" x 3" and are individually gift-packed in corsage boxes. Whatever you do, don't give up! A personal expression on romantic holidays -- or any other, for that matter! -- is always cherished by your loved ones.
